June 25, A Most Sad Day

This past Tuesday had to be one of the saddest days!

In the early afternoon we learned of the passing of actress Farrah Fawcett, who at 62, lost her valiant battle with anal cancer, a rare cancer indeed. Just as we're trying to wrap our head around that news, we hear of Michael Jackson suddenly dying. The news hit us at about 6:25 pm, Eastern time.

For Jackson, I feel we have lost one of the greatest talents in history. I didn't know him personally, but I did follow his career from the time he appeared on TV singing in a clear voice at 10 years old. He truly was a great entertainer, and, I found, the best dancer there ever was. I also found he always looked so sad and lonely, like completely lost, as if he was not where he wanted to be.

Farrah and Michael gone! I wonder why these two well-known artists died on the same day! All I know is we are a poorer world without them.
