Wow! May is already here. Were we not battling cold, rainy snow and wind a few weeks ago? Wait! We sure were!
May is the fifth month of the year, and the one that brings everything and everyone back to 'life'! You step outside and smell the fresh in the air... well, as fresh as you can smell it. The melting of the snow, and the emergence of the muddy earth also reveal, among other things, where your neighbours' pets have been throughout the winter.
May also brings the urge to clean up! I know that for the past three weeks, I've been cleaning one room at a time from wall to furniture to floor. I've nagged my husband into cleaning the lawn, front and back; my 17-year old helped him, which was great. What was the incentive? Well, I've already paid a little under $1,000 to a company that is supposed to treat and re-seed and spread new earth on our grub-laced lawn. He does not want to hear me complain for the next ten years about how remnant garbage stopped the propper growth of new grass.
This brings me to the products we use to clean our house, our things, ourselves. Everyone today is trying their best to respect the environment. People are recycling more, taking reusabe bags to the store, and purchasing products that are supposed to be environmentally friendly. I've been using non toxic products for 17 years now, and what's very important to know is that if your non toxic product does not say on the container that it is 100% biodegradable, then ask yourself what percent of it is non toxic, and what is the rest made of?
If you're not using a 100% biodegradable product while cleaning, washing clothes, and especially washing yourself, you're still contributing to poisoning your environment, and more importantly putting what could be toxic to your skin and health.
The Get Clean* products I use are guaranteed 100% biodegradable, and are just as powerful to clean your house as any other products you buy at the store. They are economical too! Take the Basic H2 for example. Two drops in 16 oz of water will safely clean your shiny surfaces: mirrors, glass, furniture. Tougher jobs can be done with 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of Basic H2 in 1 litre of water. My bottle of Basic H2 lasts anywhere from 6 to 10 months.
When I introduce people to the Get Clean products, we go around the house and point out the products that will cause or already might have caused many health problems in families, especially children and pets. When they learn what the fumes of each one can do to the lungs, airway passages, eyes and brain, they are more than happy to switch immediately.
I could go on an on, but you can find out for yourself. Go to www.shaklee.ca/santebondpart, read up on Get Clean under household products, and join the club.
